Just Driving are working alongside Brake a road safety charity. We have spent countless hours of research on road traffic accidents and are certain that we need to educate our children on road safety.

The Facts

• One child is hurt on UK roads every 16 minutes.

  Child casualties:

  • 11 children are killed or seriously injured every day on UK roads.
  • 75 children are killed or seriously injured every week on UK roads.
  • 7 child pedestrians are killed or seriously injured every day on UK roads.
  • 47 child pedestrians are killed or seriously injured every week 6 per day.
  • 177 children (0-15) were killed on UK roads in 2004 and 3,879 children were seriously injured on UK roads in 2004.
  • 60% of children killed or seriously injured on UK roads are on foot.
  • 80 child pedestrians were killed on UK roads in 2004 and 2,339 child pedestrians were seriously injured on UK roads in 2004.
